Pod Copy Master is the leading iPod file transfer application. The iPod Copy Master(TM) allows you easy and safe copy music, playlists, from your iPod to any computer, filling in a missing feature of iTunes. With iPod Copy Master you cannot stop iTunes from deleting your valuable music collection.
The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 4.1
iPod Copy Master is a very basic music backup tool for iPods. The application supports pretty much every iPod type in existence. Although the iPhone isn't supported, it was detected by the application and it could backup songs from it just fine. As I mentioned, only songs can be backed up using this tool. iPod Copy Master will show your playlists and the songs that are grouped therein. You can also browse all the music in your device by Album or Artist, or you can use the search field, which is almost hidden at the bottom of the screen.
The trial version of iPod Copy Master will only allow you to copy one song at a time to your hard drive. It also will not let you sync playlists to iTunes. This feature can be accessed in the full version by selecting a playlist or even a few songs and clicking on the "Transfer to Folder and Sync with iTunes" button.
In terms of design, iPod Copy Master doesn't have the greatest user interface. However, they do offer three different skins for you to use. These skins are basically different color combinations. The default skin is awful, but the other two are more bearable. |
